10/20/2015 - FREE Rabies Clinic - November 14th, 2015

The Bernards Township Health Department will provide residents with a Free Rabies Clinics for their dogs and cats. It will be held on Saturday November 14th 2015 from 10am to Noon at the Bernards Township Public Works Garage 277 South Maple Ave. Basking Ridge. The rabies expiration date for your pet can be found on your dog's current rabies tag. If you are unsure of the expiration date call or email Michelle Santoro, Bernards Township Animal Control Officer, at #908-204-3066 or MSantoro@Bernards.org

As a reminder ALL Borough of Peapack & Gladstone dogs must be licensed, as per NJ statue 4:19-15.2a. All current dog licenses expire on December 31st of each year. You may submit applications for renewal beginning January 1st, and no sooner. Applications received after February 29th will be charged a $10 late fee. In order for a license to be issued, the owner must present proof that a licensed veterinarian has vaccinated the dog against rabies and that the duration of immunity from that vaccination extends through at least 10 months of the twelve-month licensing period. An exemption to the rabies inoculation requirement shall be granted if the owner presents written certification from a licensed veterinarian that the dog cannot be vaccinated due to a medical condition or course of therapy.
