County Paving Project - April 6th - 25th

Somerset County will be conducting a road improvement project beginning next week. The scope of this project includes milling and paving of Jackson Ave., (between Old Chester Rd. & Mendham Rd.) Main St., Mendham Rd., and Pottersville Rd.

All of the work will be done at night between the hours of 7pm to 6am. By working at night the paving crews can work faster and more efficiently thus reducing the anticipated inconvenience for the public.

As the work progresses the Police Department will be posting temporary 'No Parking' signs along the route. Each section of milling and paving should be completed in a single night. This means each business or residence should only have the work crews in front of their property for one night.

Please be patient while this work is being completed. The paving contractor will be hiring police officers from the Borough who will be assisted by neighboring departments to provide traffic control each night. There will either be one way detours or alternating traffic depending on the location of the work. The officers will work with you to ensure you can safely travel through the work sites.
