SCLSNJ is hosting a teen entrepreneur competition

Students grades 9-12 can compete for cash prize at Teen Tycoons

(Somerset County, NJ: March 11, 2016) Somerset County Library System of New Jersey is hosting Teen Tycoons: An Entrepreneurial Competition for teens based on the popular entrepreneurial television show, “Shark Tank,” on Thursday, May 5, 7-9:30 p.m. at SCLSNJ’s Bridgewater Library branch, located at 1 Vogt Drive in Bridgewater.

Open to Somerset County students grades 9-12, including home school students, with a valid SCLSNJ library card, the contest will involve a one minute presentation (without props, slides, or any other supporting materials) to a panel of judges who are looking for original business concepts and/or new variations of an existing business concept. The business can be brand new or already established.

SCLSNJ is now accepting applications for Teen Tycoons: An Entrepreneurial Competition. The first 20 qualified applicants will be accepted into the competition. The application can be found at SCLSNJ.org/s/TeenTycoons.

Cash prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place winners.
