Somerset County Promotes Adopt-A-Family
to Help Feed Neighbors In-Need This Thanksgiving
It’s Not Too Late to Donate!
SOMERVILLE, NJ – Recently, the Somerset County Board of County Commissioners launched the 12th annual Adopt-A-Family program to help food banks collect donations to purchase Thanksgiving meals for county families in need. There is still time for residents to donate $45 online or by sending a check to any of the participating food banks of their choice. Any donation amount will be gratefully accepted.
“Food bank supplies have been strained due to the pandemic and Hurricane Ida, with some organizations temporarily closing their doors due to flooding which has depleted their supplies and resources,” said Somerset County Commissioner Director Shanel Y. Robinson. “I ask all of my Somerset County friends and neighbors to donate to Adopt-A-Family over the next few weeks, so that every family has a happy Thanksgiving.”
Donors can send checks made payable to any of the following food banks:
Feeding Hands Inc., C/O Emmanuel Church, 100 Grant Ave., Somerville, NJ 08876 or
C/O Manville Reformed Church, 238 S. Fifth Ave., Manville, NJ 08835
