Peapack & Gladstone provides a full suite of public health services through its Board of Health, chaired by a Councilmember. The Borough contracts these services from the Bernards Township Board of Health through an interlocal agreement.
The Bernards Township Health Department (BTHD) is the Public Health Agency for the community and is charged with protecting people's health and well-being. With a population-based focus on prevention and health promotion, the BTHD employs a spectrum of interventions aimed at protecting the environment, educating about healthy lifestyle choices, monitoring for communicable disease outbreaks, and ensuring access to clinical services. You will find useful information on the latest public health issues and with the many public health services offered by the BTHD at www.bernardshealth.org. They may also be reached at 908-204-3070.
BTHD also provides certain public health nursing services through a contract with the Community Visiting Nurses Association. The Community VNA provides blood pressure screenings, chronic disease management, vaccinations, child health clinics, and home visits for our disabled and elderly residents. To learn more about VNA services, visit their website at www.communityvna.org or contact them at 908-725-9355.
